Sagemcom becomes the first to achieve prplWare 3.2 device certification

Bois-Colombes, july 28, 2025

Operators will now be able to benefit from increased choice and confidence in device behavior and application consistency with the world’s first device certification on prplWare 3.2.

The Sagemcom Fast5598 Wi-Fi 7 Gateway delivers tri-band support, integrated prplMesh™ for whole-home coordination, and carrier-grade capabilities across hardware platforms. Designed to meet the demands of modern connected homes, the Fast5598 combines next-generation wireless performance with open source flexibility, giving operators a scalable gateway capable of mass deployment.

“We are proud to lead the industry by certifying the first device on prplWare 3.2,” said Boris Nabedryk, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Sagemcom Broadband Solutions BU. “As a member of the board of director and one of the top contributors within the prpl community, Sagemcom continues to innovate and support operators with flexible, standards-based platforms that empower rapid deployment and long-term interoperability.”

With prplWare 3.2 device certification, the Fast5598 platform provides predictable and reliable performance to support unified applications, advancing the prpl Foundation’s vision for platform-agnostic, hardware-independent, open source solutions. Operators can now scale deployments across diverse SoC platforms and accelerate time to market.

“We are excited to expand our trusted partnership with Sagemcom,” added Leonard Dauphinee, President of the prpl Foundation. “This milestone shows our growing ecosystem includes all major SoC vendors and marks a major step toward industry adoption of open source middleware supporting interoperable broadband innovation.”

The prplWare Certification Program, launched earlier this year, includes standardized testing implemented on QA Café’s CDRouter test platform to validate that Certified prplWare devices meet open standards for security, remote management, and performance across multiple generations.
