SAGEMCOM DR. NEUHAUS WINS DIGIMETO MAJOR CONTRACT FOR MODERN METERING DEVICES OF THE GERMAN SMART METERING SYSTEM

Sagemcom Dr. Neuhaus wins a significant share of the tender for the supply of modern metering devices for DIGImeto GmbH & Co. KG. This makes Sagemcom one of the main suppliers.

With the contract won, the good and intensive cooperation between the two companies in terms of modern metering devices enters the second round. Due to the positive experience of the last few years as well as the success-oriented combination of the development of metering technology and long-term oriented cooperation, Sagemcom Dr. Neuhaus was able to convince in the tender.

"With the Siconia® SMARTY BZ-PLUS, we are completing a development which, in addition to meeting the legal requirements, also offers greater data security and an enhanced operating concept for the customer," says Daniel Frankenstein, responsible for operational processes at DIGImeto GmbH & Co. KG, the basic smart metering point operator for approx. 1 million metering points in eastern Saxony. In addition, DIGImeto GmbH & Co.KG offers high-performance smart metering and submetering solutions to companies in the housing industry.

The Siconia® SMARTY BZ-PLUS complies with the current FNN specifications for digital electricity meters. In addition, we were able to develop numerous user-friendly features with DIGImeto and align this meter perfectly to market and customer requirements. With the upcoming technical innovations, among other things, a terminal block will be brought into the device that is compatible with aluminum conductors and conductors made of aluminum alloys," says Dr. Holger Graetz, Head of Sales and Marketing at Sagemcom Dr. Neuhaus GmbH.

Sagemcom will supply DIGImeto with these modern metering devices in the years 2023 to 2028. The Siconia® SMARTY BZ-PLUS thus stands for long-term customer-oriented modern metering devices and forms the metrological basis for a successful rollout of the smart metering system in Germany.
